A professional photographer for over twenty years, Michael Turner started his career by working freelance for magazines and newspapers. His photographs have been published in the Daily Telegraph, Photography Year Book, Nursery World, Child Education and many more.
Michael is best known for his lifestyle portrait photography of children and families, having established a popular reputation with parents for his patient approach and compelling images. He has won numerous national and regional awards for his portrait photography, including Millenium UK Baby Photographer of the Year.
A qualified Master Photographer and inspirational tutor, Michael's recent teaching engagements include :
- Masterclass speaker, SWPP International Photographers Convention in London (2008 and 2009).
- Print Competition Judge and Speaker at the SWPP Dublin Show (2008)
- Masterclass Tutor in children's photography at Photo Training Overseas in Taba, Egypt (Jan 2009).
Crucial to the success and smooth running of Michael Turner Photography is, of course, Michael's wife Janet. Taking care of administration and client support, Janet is also a keen photographer. Her favourite subjects are travel, flowers and gardens.
